Bramston Beach is a peaceful beachside village located on 8.5km of unspoilt tropical beach with interesting creeks and headlands making it an ideal beach for swimming and perhaps a spot of fishing in the southern creek. Swimming is available all year round with the stinger net in the waters during the summer months.

Driving to Bramston Beach you will drive past Walsh’s Pyramid (which is one of the highest freestanding natural pyramids in the world) canefields, banana plantations and into lush tropical rainforest until you come to the beachfront with palm trees, frangipanis and the distant islands on the horizon.

For Birdwatchers - the nearby Eubenangee Swamp National Park is a birdwatcher's paradise with over 190 species of birds recorded. Take a walk along the 1.5 kilometre return walking track rainforest to the top of a grassy hill and enjoy views of Bartle Frere and Bellenden Ker, Queensland's two highest peaks, as well as the swamp and its many waterbirds.

Bramston Beach is a great base to visit a number of natural attractions including Josephine Falls, Babinda Boulders and the historic Spanish Castle in the rainforest at Paronella Park. Enjoy a day trip snorkelling the coral reef at Frankland Islands and for the adventurous you can go white water rafting at Tully River or even Skydiving at Etty Bay!

Fishing - For guests that bring along their own boats to the holiday house you will pleased to know that the Normandy Island Group (otherwise known as Frankland Islands) and Russell Island are only 15 klms off shore for great island picnics, exploring and snorkelling. Also these waters are the fertile grounds of the world famous Giant Black Marlin and home to 7 of the world species of Green Sea Turtles. Also great fishing at the Southern Joyce Creek and breakwater groyne at high tide. Just remember to bring along your GBRM Park fishing charts to ensure you are legally fishing in the correct zones and keeping to bag limits and sizes.

Bramston Beach Café & Store is a convenient store for some basic supplies, so we recommend to pick up some groceries from Mission Beach supermarket, or Innisfail on your drive to Mission Beach.

Only 1 hour drive south of Cairns, and approximate 1.5 hours from Mission Beach, Bramston Beach is a peaceful beachside holiday destination. Only fifteen minutes drive to the mid-sized town of Babinda and twenty-five minutes drive to Innisfail you have the seclusion within easy distance to shopping for groceries.
